Aircraft noise
Working constructively to reduce disturbance
Many residents appreciate the convenience and economic benefits of having Bournemouth Airport nearby. Our work is not about opposing the airport or aviation.
However, aircraft noise already affects parts of Brockenhurst, and future growth in flights could increase that impact if appropriate measures are not put in place.

We believe there are practical ways to reduce disturbance through:
- the consistent use of recognised good practice
- constructive engagement between Bournemouth Airport, aviation organisations and local authorities, and
- meaningful community involvement in decisions about flight paths and operating procedures.
Our aim is to ensure the views and experiences of Brockenhurst residents are represented clearly, accurately and constructively.
As this work progresses, we’ll continue to share updates, evidence and opportunities for residents to get involved.
