Your Brockenhurst

Local people working together for the future of our village

Your Brockenhurst is an independent group of local volunteers working to support our community, address shared concerns and protect the qualities that make Brockenhurst such a special place to live.

At the heart of the New Forest, Brockenhurst is known for its free-roaming ponies, donkeys, pigs and cattle, ancient woodland, open heathland and strong sense of community. It’s a unique place that people are proud to call home, and one that’s worth protecting for future generations.

As one of the largest parishes in the New Forest, Brockenhurst faces a wide range of opportunities and challenges. Decisions affecting the village often involve several organisations, public bodies and regulations, making it important for local people to have an informed and constructive voice.

Brockenhurst Parish Council works hard to represent residents and respond to local issues. Like all parish councils, however, its responsibilities and resources are limited.

Many residents have valuable knowledge, skills and experience that can complement the work of the Parish Council and other local organisations. As public services continue to face increasing pressures and more responsibilities are passed to parish level, community involvement has never been more important.

Your Brockenhurst brings people together to develop practical ideas, support local projects and help ensure the community’s voice is informed, coordinated and heard.

Working groups

Our work is delivered through volunteer-led working groups, each focusing on a specific project or local priority.

Wherever possible, we work alongside Brockenhurst Parish Council, public bodies and other community organisations. By sharing knowledge, experience and resources, we can achieve more together.
