Bridge Reopening Update

Work to secure the reopening of the bridge from the Martin’s Road end is progressing positively. This important access point supports residents’ welfare and provides a valued, safe and convenient route into the forest.

The partnership between Forestry England (FE), Brockenhurst Village Trust (BVT) and the Parish Council (PC) continues to move forward at pace. The focus is currently on finalising the necessary licences and agreements to ensure the bridge can be restored and maintained to a safe standard.

All parties are committed to delivering a long-term solution that protects this key piece of local infrastructure and maintains access for the community. Further updates will be shared as soon as the formal arrangements are in place and works can begin.
